The idea is that this will be an open world or semi-open world (hub like) structure for the player to explore, gather resources, buy new equipment and meet different NPCs. 
These first steps are exploring and defining the starting area, how this community is surviving and thrive living. I want to crater this starting area to be a calmer area where the player will get into the story and learn the tools. This is a small tight community where most people are friendly, helpful with the normal banter.
The houses in the starting area are designed to be cozy and friendly. I also wanted the houses to be build & designed after each family’s needs and not too uniformed. These first iterations are not focused with any profession or storefront in mind but more of a direction.
